“If you are like me, and hundreds of thousands of other Namibians, when you buy your favourite peanut-based snack product at the supermarket or corner shop, more than 90% of the chance is that it will be an imported brand and highly priced. Even a relatively simple snack product, such as salted and roasted peanuts, is imported.

Our solution to this problem is both simple, effective and very tasty. At Moonsnacks, we source raw peanuts locally from small-scale farmers, currently from Kunene and Kavango West, and put them through our value addition process which turns them into delicious crunchy snacks called peanut burgers – beautifully packaged and sealed. What is a peanut burger you ask? It is an innovative snack product which is basically a peanut wrapped in biscuit.”
